Freshwater Spinning Combo!
The Reel
The new Shimano Sahara 4000 FI XG Spinning Reel
now offers Shimano’s ultra-slim M Compact Body design for reduced
weight and improved performance. It is designed to deliver
hassle-free, tangle-free and accurate casting because of its
advanced Propulsion Line Management System. The Sahara FE’s smooth
as silk front drag system gives anglers confidence when targeting
hard fighting species.
S A-RB
These bearings have been through the same process as the A-RB
bearings but feature shields on both sides of the bearings. That
system reduces the possibility of salts or sand inhibiting the
bearings rotation.
CF Aluminium Cold Forged Spool
This spool increases the strength and durability over diecast
aluminium or graphite spools.
Super Stopper II
Super Stopper II anti-reverse uses a one-way bearing that
eliminates backplay. This provides the angler with instant
hooksetting power. In some reels, the Super Stopper II can be
turned off to allow backreeling for special techniques and
situations.
Dyna Balance
This feature eliminates wobble during the retrieve by counter
balancing the rotor to enhance sensitivity and smoothness. By using
computer balancing, an approach similar to car tire balancing,
Shimano is able to redistribute the rotor weight to create smooth
rotation and eliminate vibrations caused by the reel.
Fluidrive II
Building upon the success of Fluidrive which provides extremely
tight tolerances and control in the cutting process, Fluidrive II
polishes the gear surface to maximise tooth contact. This increases
the efficiency of the retrieve for more power with less effort.
The Rod
The Shimano Catana Nano Freshwater Spinning Rod 7ft 3in
6-8kg 2pc has been performance designed with the
introduction of the latest nano resin technologies. The
nanomaterials used in the construction of the Shimano Catana Nano
range creates a feather-light and ultra-responsive family of rods
designed with Kiwi anglers in mind.
