The Reel
The Shimano Curado 150DC Anti-Tangle Baitcaster
Reel is built on the legacy of durability, dependability
and versatility that Curado is known for, now with Shimano’s unique
DC braking technology. Shimano’s new Digital Control braking system
utilises a microcomputer to monitor spool speed 1,000 times every
second and apply the perfect amount of brake to prevent backlash
and maximise distance. Anglers of all skill levels will appreciate
less thumbing and trouble-free casting in all conditions.

MicroModule
The addition of Micromodule gear technology to the worm shaft ideal
gear reduces oscillation vibration. This is an incredible
breakthrough in design and delivers and outstanding level
smoothness without sacrificing strength or durability. The enhanced
smoothness results in greater sensitivity transmitted from your
rod, line and lure to your hand.

XShip
XShip is a combination of features that work together to create
much greater efficiency. By positioning the pinion gear close to
the centre line of the large diameter drive gear, more power is
transferred from the handle to the rotor. The pinion gear is also
supported by two Shimano ARB roller bearings, creating more
stability.

Hagane Body
The Hagane Body is produced from high rigidity aluminium or
magnesium. This creates stiffness and impact resistance, while at
the same time eliminating flexing of the body. The result is a rock
solid housing and support for he moving internal gearing and
greater efficiency throughout the reel.

S A-RB
Shimano S A-RB bearings are high-corrosion-resistant ARB ball
bearings with an extra shield for improved protection against sand,
salt or dust.

Cross Carbon Drag
This carbon drag material provides a wider range of drag settings,
along with the smoothest Shimano drag performance ever.

CI4
CI4 is an exclusive material created by the interfusion of carbon
and polyamide. It is almost as strong as metal with the lightness
of a composite. CI4 is used for the body and rotor on many Shimano
reels.

I-DC4
Intelligent Digital Controlling Braking System with an easy-to-use
4-setting, externally-adjustable brake dial. This will allow
anglers to fish a wide variety of lures, in any conditions, with
minimal adjustment to the reel.

The Rod
The new Shimano Maikuro II Casting Rod features a sleek, modern design with a matt black finish, white, silver and black trims, and butt configurations utilising Sea Guide carbon hooded reel seat. A combination of cork and EVA grips were selected for the best transmission of bites. Thanks to the highly responsive graphite blank, this rod can be used for targetting freshwater fish such as Trout and even heavier coastal and reef dwellers.
