The Reel

The Shimano Corvalus 300 Baitcast Reel is perfectly suited for everything from slow jigging and soft baiting for Snapper, blue cod and trevally all the way through to bait fishing or trolling for skipjack tuna. Team it up with braid and this versatile little reel will see you through, no matter what your fishing needs are.

Constructed out of a die-cast aluminium frame, side plates and spool the Corvalus boasts 3 A-RB bearings along with 1 stainless steel roller bearing. Its variable brake system (VBS) uses centrifugal forces to control the cast. It does this by creating friction to reduce the speed of the spool, preventing any backlashes from the line giving you a smoother, tangle free cast.
