The Reel
The new Shimano Aerlex 10000 XSB Long Cast Surf
Reel offers a vast improvement on the previous model. This
long cast big pitt reel is designed to help you achieve maximum
casting distance to help reach waters that occupy coastal species.
It features a long cast ARC spool which allows for minimum spool
lip friction for casting and line release. An additional bearing on
the main gear improves the overall smoothness of rotation plus the
handle has been upgraded to machined aluminium to improve overall
strength. The Aerlex XSB also features a worm driven oscillating
system (Aerowrap II). This offers a much slower oscillation and
more consistent line lay, that is essential for spool release and
casting distance.

Aero Wrap II
Aero Wrap II is a worm gear oscillation system with a specially
designed pitch to create optimal oscillation speeds for the
Propulsion Spool Lip design. It provides uniform line lay and
winding shape to prevent loss of energy during the cast.

The Rod
The Shimano Aquatip Surf Spinning Rod comes from the popular series of Shimano’s best value for money products. Designed with a roller tip that provides quality performance when reeling in big fish, this rod works great during saltwater fishing. It features well-shaped EVA grips and hooded winches that ensure reliability. The new striking finish also makes the rod look better and tougher.
